"I used to measure the skies, now I measure the shadows of Earth. Although my mind was sky-bound, the shadow of my body lies here."

Johannes Kepler, 1630.

Hi!

Johannes Kepler

(1571-1630) was a german astronomer, mathematician, mystic and physicist. He also wrote poems and the one on this page is my favorite. I think it's a poem that reminds us that although our bodies live on earth, our minds can still travel the universe.
This page is an ongoing collection of times when my mind did just that, with varying results.

I have always wanted to write, but I am not a skilled veteran at either that or poetry (yet)

- hence the name of this page.

I still hope you find something on here to make your own mind wander for a moment or two.

Who am I?

To be frank: I'm not sure - but I'm working on it.

The easy facts to tell is that I am a

44-year-old woman who intends to never grow up. I am also a mother and a full-time teacher, who's gone through several occupations before ending up where I am today. Fascinated by words since before I could read I've never been able to stop scribbling down this and that from time to time.

Where I will end up is an open question - and I guess that's how I like it. My eyes are always pondering the horizon and where I want to go.

But for Now I'm Here and this is where you will find me until I head off towards something new.
